WHO WE ARE
For over 60 years, Heddington Amateur Dramatic Society (HADS) has been a cornerstone of entertainment in Heddington, Wiltshire, bringing the magic of theatre to our beautiful village through our annual shows and pantomimes.
We pride ourselves on being a very friendly and welcoming society, where everyone with an interest in theatre – on stage or behind the scenes – is encouraged to get involved.
Our commitment to the local community extends beyond the stage, as we actively participate in local carnivals, the Heddington and Stockley Steam Rally, Village Fete fundraising, and host popular quiz nights for everyone to enjoy.

When thinking about a show, most people will just think about the actors on stage, but there are often more people involved ‘behind the scenes’ than there are on stage!
The ‘behind the scenes roles’ include Show Director, Wardrobe, Prompt, Props, Scenery, Refreshments, Photography, Publicity, Door, Lights, Sound and more. After months of preparation, writing, planning, design and rehearsals, it is a great sense of achievement, satisfaction and sense of teamwork when you hear the audience enjoying themselves.
If you have ever wondered how a show all comes together and would love to get involved, either behind the scenes or treading the boards, then we would love to hear from you.
We welcome everyone from Year 6 upwards. Just fill in the contact form and we will get in touch with you.

TICKET BOOKINGS
We are encouraging people to book tickets through a ticketing company called Ticket Source. If you follow the link below it will take you straight to our event where you can buy your tickets.
However, we understand not everyone is able to use online purchasing, so please feel to email us or call our dedicated HADS Phone Number.
The number is 07395 439408 if you have any questions or want to discuss a different method of purchasing tickets. Please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can. The phone is manned by volunteers so please be patient with us.

Last night we had the first meet up and script read through with the cast of our Panto 2026, Jack and the Beanstalk. All the roles have been allocated and the first read through was great fun (although a bit hot in the hall)
Rehearsals will start in September!

We had an absolute blast at the Calne Duck Race today! 🦆🏁
The atmosphere down by the river was incredible, and it was fantastic to see the community out in full force cheering on those little quacking racers. A massive shout-out to the organisers for putting on such a brilliant event—the energy was brilliant from start to finish!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with us, shared a laugh, or cheered alongside us. Events like this remind us just how lucky we are to be part of such a vibrant local community.
