We had an absolute blast at the Calne Lions Duck Race this weekend! The atmosphere down by the river was incredible, and it was fantastic to see the community out in full force cheering on those little quacking racers. A massive shout-out to the organisers for putting on such a brilliant event—the energy was brilliant from start to finish!

Events like this remind us just how lucky we are to be part of such a vibrant local community. Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by to chat with us, shared a laugh, or cheered alongside us.

An Award-Winning Costume Department!

Oh, what a race! We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the Heddington Amateur Dramatic Society officially has an award-winning costume department.

Our entry took home the Runner-up prize for Best Dressed Duck!

To be fair, dressing up is our hobby, so the pressure was really on to make sure our feathered friend looked absolutely fabulous before hitting the water. A massive thank you goes to Debs for dressing the duck so beautifully, and to the Calne Lions for putting on such a wonderful community event.

Did you join in the fun? Did any of your ducks manage to scoop a prize? Let us know!

We are already looking forward to next year and—true to form—we’re already brainstorming next year’s show-stopping wardrobe!
